Last Saturday, we had a little get-together with friends to celebrate Greg’s 10th birthday, my upcoming 40th birthday, and our imminent departure. In the afternoon, it was the kid’s party, which consisted of a treasure hunt based on our upcoming trip, each destination chosen from among the cities we will be visiting. It was a roaring success, thanks in most part to all the adult volunteers manning the ten different stations. In the evening, it was the adult’s turn to party – we had hot-dogs and corn on the cob for dinner followed by a bonfire. The kids had an outdoor cinema show with fresh popcorn! The weather was perfect, which added extra magic to the evening…
Now that the party is over, all of our energy is going to be focused on the last remaining preparations before our departure. And I admit that I am starting to get some butterflies in my tummy now!
